The Board of Directors are looking to appoint two dynamic and enthusiastic leaders to assist in maintaining our high standards as well as further improving our school. The ideal candidates will be highly skilled, exemplary teachers with experience across the primary age range and senior management level.


This role would suit charismatic Assistant Head Teachers who are aspiring to become Deputy Head Teachers, or Deputy Head Teachers looking for a fresh new challenge from January 2021 or sooner.


Wyndcliffe Primary School is a three form entry school based across two sites and is one of a family of five schools within Leigh Trust. The school has 630 pupils, a nursery unit offering 65 full time equivalent places and a growing Resource Base that caters for the needs of autistic children.


This is a unique opportunity to appoint two inspirational Deputy Head Teachers to work with the Executive Head Teacher and the Governors to help lead the school through the next stage of its development. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to lead one of the school sites as well as having areas of responsibility across the school. The vision is for both members of staff to work very closely together and to support each other to ensure that the quality of provision across school is of a very high standard.  The roles will be interchangeable to allow for the opportunity to develop an understanding of the whole school in preparation to develop into future Head Teachers.


You will:

  • Have outstanding experience of teaching across the primary age range
  • Have the ability to plan and think strategically
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of School Improvement Planning
  • Be able to motivate and promote good relationships and effectively communicate with all stakeholders
  • Have a strong commitment to inclusion with high expectations for all learners
  • Have a track record of successfully promoting parental engagement
  • Be flexible, enthusiastic and visionary
  • Have a 50%- 60% teaching commitment
